Hi, my name is

Amith Shankar

I build things for the web.

I'm a full-stack developer who enjoys building clean, functional interfaces and wiring them up to real backends. Over the past 2 years I've shipped production features in fintech - including a 2-month onsite in Dubai working directly with banking clients. Currently at Finonyx Software Solutions.

Curious by default, always learning, and usually thinking about how things could be built better.

01.About Me

I'm a full-stack developer who enjoys building clean, functional interfaces and wiring them up to real backends. I got into this by tinkering with things I didn't fully understand yet, and kept going from there.

Currently, I'm an Associate Consultant at Finonyx Software Solutions in Bengaluru, where I build frontend features for multi-user onboarding platforms, issue tracking systems, and integrated transaction tools.

Technologies I've been working with:

  • React.js
  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Vite
  • Spring Boot
  • FastAPI
  • PLSQL
  • MySQL
  • Python
  • RESTful APIs

Apr 2023 - Present

Bengaluru, India

  • Built retail and corporate account opening flows from scratch during a 2-month onsite in Dubai, working directly with the bank's ops team.
  • Built an RM queue for reviewing pending applications, with OTP-based verification and an Axios client layer handling token auth across the app.
  • Built a dashboard with ticket trend charts, severity breakdown, and a recent activity list.
  • Built the full issue tracker - tickets, projects, user management, multi-file uploads, and role-based access across three user types.
  • Improved filtering performance on large ticket datasets by moving logic client-side and reducing unnecessary re-renders.
  • Built transaction screens for RTGS, EFT, cross-border, and clearing workflows, plus loan processing and slip generation.
